Mike Hsiao and his family joined us for a 1:00 PM departure, 4-hour Kona fishing charter on July 14th and left with a small cooler full of Ahi Tuna and Ono filets for the effort. Mike was keen to have his 5- and 6-year-old daughter and son catch some quality fish they could bring home to eat. Captain Brett didn’t disappoint and put the kids on three nice fish that day, keeping them entertained and busy reeling in the catch.
The fishing in July has been really good with a mixed bag of Ono, Ahi and Blue Marlin with an occasional Mahi Mahi thrown into the mix. While this is the peak season for Blue Marlin here in Kona, we can happily tailor a trip to your desire, focusing on edible pelagic species or trolling for the Blue Marlin. If we catch some edible fish, we’ll be happy to clean those for you as well and send you home with your catch.
